Hello all!
I am proposing a date for the Grand Opening - April 6th, Saturday. At our last meeting we talked about doing one at the beginning of April. This gives us a good amount of space between our fundraiser (which we can use to hype this up!) as well as time to organize and spread awareness. I'm imagining an all day event where people can come tour the space and hang out (would be great to have some family friendly activities like toothbrush robots, etc!). My dad has already volunteered to flip burgers (one of his favourite pastimes iykyk 🤣)
Around 6/7 it would be fun to have a "Members only" BYOB party. For liquor license purpose it would need to be a "Members only" event.
As a side note we can still be advertising the space as "open" before the "Grand Opening" and encouraging people to come check it out. The space is a group project that's always in progress. It sounds like everyone's been doing a great job of explaining to new/potential members what the expectations are!
