It was brought to my attention that my above comments could be offensive. I would like to apologise to anyone impacted by them.

My intentions were more that drywall and paint work in a building that has existing slapdash work can lead to a laissez-faire approach to new work. I had put in a great deal of work and would have liked to have been able to see it through to the end in that fashion.

I never wish to gatekeep working on the space. If an absolute newbie worked their ass off and fell short I would be much happier than a more capable person mailing it in. I understand this is subjective for sure. That said thank you to those who chose to take this on. It looks great.

I just wanted to clarify my intentions, however, I am a firm believer that impact is more important than intent. So I would like to offer a sincere apology to anyone impacted.

I have finish sanding out most of the walls. I have not had time to do the corners (including against the ceiling) The best way do do this is with the pointed end of the sanding sponge I have left there. The corner joints will also need so be smothed to the walls and ceilings.

I know there is a good enough attitude toward this type of work, however, myself and others have put a great deal of effort into this project and at least myself will be very dissaponted if care is not taken in finishing this project. I apreciate any help getting this done, however am willing to finish it if volunteers are unwilling to complete it to a standard comiserate with those who have donated a considerable amount of time to this point. Thank you all for your hard work.

I should have the taping and first coat of mud finished today. I will be at Hack Night this evening around 6:00 to get started on sanding and finish mud. Please come join me.

The usual characters have been hard at work. We need people to tape mud and sand drywall this week. Priming to follow. I will be around intermitently to get people started. Let me know here if you are avialable. Please keep this thread on topic.
