Industrial sewing machine

Right on. I'll spend at least a bit of time trying to get it back online before I investigate replacement options. The table is great and the machine SEEMS to function ok, but until I get a needle and appropriate thread in it it'll be hard to tell if it's resurrectable.

Same for the Thompson 😂, so if anyone knows what needle system it uses - do tell!

here's a link to the 251-3 manual. It takes size 16x257 class needles in a wide range of sizes, from 8 through 24 (pretty huge tbh).

Absolutely!! Go for it!

Hi, so there's a rather intimidating machine in the craftorium.

Does anyone know the history on it? The motor definitely needs to be serviced, it needs a new belt, and it needs an deep cleaning and re-oiling.

I am capable of all of those things with no guarantee of success. Other options include selling the head and /or motor and fitting a different set into the table. Possibly even putting the Thompson walking foot machine in there, temporarily or permanently.

So, am I allowed to crack it open and have a go at bringing it back to life? Is there a belt kicking around for it?

Cheers!

Amanda
