Frozen Pipes
Author Last Post

We have applied as many heaters as the panel allows. There is one pointed at the back door to ensure the lock works. Do not try to add a heater.

Open all the cold water taps just a crack. Leave them open even if nothing comes out. It will help when the pipes thaw a bit.

Thank you for noting this down. The main issue is one of the two boilers is down. We have been in discussion with the landlord about fixing it. It is taking longer than we would like, and this cold snap is bad timing.

Brad also brought in some Space heaters to help warm the space up. It should be noted that space heaters must be plugged into a wall socket and not into an extension cord as this can be a fire hazard.

Hey all,

Was just at the space and all the pipes seem to be frozen. Additionally, the temperature in the building is currently ranging from 3 to 5 degrees Celsius. I'm no next to nothing about plumbing and heating but I can't help but worry. I know that "warmer" weather is expected within the next 3-5 days... will the pipes likely defrost then? If not, do we have another plan?
