There has been a concerted effort to make the space more comfortable for members who are sensitive to bright/white light. I believe this is important to make the space as welcoming as possible, and I have even contributed to such efforts myself.
Unfortunately, this has led to a lighting level at which I am unable to function. I am sure I am not the only one. There was some task lighting to mitigate this; however, most of the lighting was moved, damaged, or disabled. I have taken the time and expense to add task lighting to both main tables and the four work bays in the shelves along the wall. Please do not relocate, damage, or modify these lights without seeking consensus here or at a member's meeting. If you need light in another area, there are some lights in a bin on the mezzanine.
The workbay lights have an on and off button, and one to change the color temperature as well. They also have wifi connectivity; however, I have not configured that. The lights above the tables are turned on and off by plugging them in. I will be putting whiter bulbs or controllable ones above the tables. If you need warmer light, there is a remote to control the lights on the fans by the front door.
