3D Printing

Printer 4 jammed
Author Last Post

Thanks Tim. The printer probably needs to be recalibrated. I find the Z height slowly increases over time.

I cleared the jam, but the front fan shroud housing did not survive. I found a new housing in the spare parts box and installed it. I tried a test print with the ASA that was in the printer, but it didn't stick to the build plate. I cleaned the build plate and then ran some cleaning filament through the hot end. I added some glue to the plate and ran test print again and it printed with no problems.

I had a print fail on printer 4. I did not have time to clear the jam. If someone could remove the wad of plastic from the hot end that would be great.

Any thoughts on how we could make a shield to keep the plastic from going up into the housing? A metal shield would conduct heat from the hot end. A 3D printed one would melt.
