Kitchenette

While building the lair for overkill I took a closer look at the plumbing for the sinks to go beside the bathroom. I took the 2x12 off the front of the bathroom floor and removed the nails. It is now attached with screws to make future removal easier. There is a 2-inch drain that feeds the bathroom sink that will be easy to tie into. I have purchased the fittings to do so and will get to it soon. I am not sure if there is a close vent to the bathroom. I assume there is an air admittance valve in the wall. I am thinking of putting one on the sink drains just in case. I have sinks and some taps I will donate. I will be building a clay trap for one of the sinks.

I have cleared out the kitchenette corner and put the kitchen supplies on the old Clayspace cabinet for now. The table is in front of the roll-up door. I am not sure if it should stay there but it seems like a good spot.

I plan to put in shelves for the whole corner as well as a small work surface.

Also, part of this plan is enclosing the furnace to reduce sound and putting in half-folding stairs to the mezzanine.

I will post more here as this project progresses.

That was an adventure! It was extreamy tight working area, however, I was able to install a Y from the bathroom sink drain. A 2 inch pipe 45s about a foot away frim the Y and comes out the side of the bathroom floor.

One piece I am still looking for is a bar fridge. Hopefully someone has one kicking around. I think we should have a "No Overnight Parking" policy to alleviate the headaches of stuff being left to long. However it would be nice for people to keep things cool while they are at the space.

I'm looking forward to the kitchenette. The fridge at the other space tended to collect leftovers "for someone else." Just like No Trace Crafting, no trace should be left in the fridge. Don't eat half a pie and expect someone else to finish it for you.

Thanks for doing this
