I have been working on getting our IT Infrastructure rolled out. A huge thank you to Jim at Kam IT for donating everything we needed for this project including over 2500 ft of cable, all the hardware for cabling, a rack, patch panels, a switch, an AP, servers, security cameras, and so much more. He has also donated a high end RFID system with very high quality door strikes, readers, a request to exit and other pieces. Kam IT is also helping with the install and maintenance of these systems.

Again a huge thank you to Jim and KamIT for making this project possible. I am hoping to get internet and the RFID up and running in the next couple of weeks.
There was a temporary router set up for wireless in the electrical corner. However hose users were dropping it and hanging it from the cord. I am sure why it stopped working. I wont be attempting to fix it as we should have a better solution in a couple weeks. I am worried our fiber cable may have been damaged by the force. If so getting internet going will be delayed further. All users of the space need to be very careful around our network infrastructure as it can be delicate and represents a huge amount of time and effort by volunteers to keep running. If you don't know what it is please do not touch it without asking someone knowledgable about it.
Again this is a small piece of this project so keep tuned to the Wiki for more information.
