Tote Bags
Beth Scott

More bags that I made within the last year. All were drafted by me, and are made from thrifted and/or upcycled materials.

The buttons were clipped from plaid shirts. The cross stitches were done free style from skein ends and kit leftovers. These were both auctioned off at the Kamloops Art Party Place this summer, with the proceeds going to the Makerspace.

The buttons were also clipped from plaid shirts.

I used English paper piecing to make 1" hexagons from thrift store plaid shirts (the paper was cut on the laser cutter). The plaid was also used for the straps, lining and pocket. The hexagons were hand pieced, then machine quilted to a muslin backing. This bag was given away as a prize in the Makerspace raffle.
